Philly Trip
|
|
|
Philadelphia is becoming second nature to us, it seems. Tim, Shamsun and I drove up over break because (a) Shamsun needed her Visa from the Italian embassy (which is in Philadelphia for some reason), (b) for Morimotos, and (c) because Hannah was there and we needed here in Maryland.

I didn't take many pictures at all this break--I skipped all the parties (which I regret, although Paula, Jon and Dan took ample goods that will forever prohibit me from running for office (links at sidebar on left). I did get a few shots, though.

Mark's big surprise with us was that he took us ice skating. Naturally, only Shrimp dudes showed up. As with every time I go skating, the trip degenerated into intentional pratfalls into walls and friends.

Arcade Fire show and Skits afterparty.
|

An eventful Saturday, containing an indie rock show featuring the Hidden Cameras and the Arcade Fire (which was quite excellent and very, very sweaty) followed by a sojourn to the far end of collegetown for the Skits-O-Phrenics (Cornell's sketch comedy group) afterparty, which was a celebration of all things drunken.

We began this all-important weekend at the classiest room in Eco-house, then heading to West campus to Pete's, and, more importantly, Pete's front yard, where a battle royale of duct-tape wrestling distinguished the men from the really sore men.

NYC Big Red Comedy Festival 2 part 1: Shrimp Adventuring
|

The Whistling Shrimp liked New York City so much they decided to go back next year, where they debuted well-received undergraduate improv comedy to a packed off-Broadway house. I didn't get many pictures of us in Manhattan, but I did get more than enough of Bradley's apartment.
